Engineered Immortalized Cells
XDel Knockout Immortalized, iPSC, and Primary Cell Pools
EditCo guarantees* delivery of XDel cell pools at 80% editing efficiency, verified by NGS genotyping QC.
NGS genotyping QC data is included with each knockout XDel cell pool. If internal NGS QC does not meet the ≥80% editing efficiency, EditCo will offer a reduced price from the quoted rate.
*EditCo guarantee does not apply if the edited gene in your knockout cell pool is deemed as Common Essential or determined to be high risk by our feasibility team, per the DepMap Database.
Knockout Immortalized and iPSC Single Guide Cell Pool
EditCo guarantees* delivery of knockout single guide cell pools at 50% editing efficiency, verified by NGS genotyping QC.
NGS genotyping QC data is included with each knockout cell pool. If internal NGS QC does not meet the ≥50% editing efficiency, EditCo will offer a reduced price from the quoted rate.
*EditCo guarantee does not apply if the edited gene in your knockout cell pool is deemed as Common Essential or determined to be high risk by our feasibility team, per the DepMap Database.
Knock-in Immortalized Cell Pool
Knock-In Immortalized Cell Pools are guaranteed to have detectable levels of the knock-In sequence at the specified target locus as confirmed by Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), Sanger sequencing or fragment PCR in our hands. Given the low frequency of knock-In repair, we are unable to guarantee a minimum knock-In percentage.
EditCo does not test protein levels or perform functional validation of the Knock-In Immortalized Cell Pools delivered.The genetic modifications confirmation should be conducted by the recipient within the first 7 days after thawing the Knock-In Immortalized Cell Pool. If, upon testing via genomic methods (e.g., Sanger sequencing), you cannot confirm the genetic modifications made, EditCo will provide a one time replacement of your Knock-In Immortalized Cell Pool free of charge. Products need to be tested as described above within 60 days of delivery.
Knockout Immortalized Cell Clone
EditCo guarantees the delivery of single-cell–derived clones that are genetically uniform and verified by NGS to contain the desired homozygous edit.
NGS genotyping QC data is included with each Knockout Immortalized Cell clone. In cases where biological constraints prevent isolation of a homozygous clone (e.g essential genes), we offer an alternative (e.g., a heterozygous clone, a pool, or another commercial resolution) at the reduced price or credit. Heterozygous Knockout Immortalized Cell Clones are not included in our guarantees.
EditCo guarantees do not apply if the edited gene in your knockout cell clone is deemed as Common Essential, per the DepMap Database. If you choose to continue with a gene that is identified as common essential, you will be invoiced for the full amount quoted upon completion of Milestone 1b (transfection and genotyping of the pool), regardless of whether clones are successfully isolated and with no guarantee of minimum editing efficiency. If a common essential gene is able to be knocked out successfully and created into a clone, we will continue with our process and invoice the full amount quoted.
Delivery of your Knockout Immortalized Cell Clones is dependent on the ability of the cell line to be isolated and grown from a single cell. In the event that the biology of the desired cell line prevents it from being clonally isolated and expanded and the project is not subject to milestone-based payment terms, EditCo will offer 1) the option of delivery of the cell pool for the same gene modification in the same cell line for the price of the pool or 2) the option to cancel the project and utilize the funds for a new clonal project.
If we are unable to identify any clones of the zygosity specified on the quote and the project is not subject to milestone-based payment terms, EditCo will offer 1) the option of delivery of cell clones of an alternate zygosity at 75% of the quoted price 2) the option of delivery of the cell pool for the same gene modification in the same cell line for the price of the pool or 3) the option to cancel the project and utilize the funds for a new clonal project.

Engineered Cell Libraries
EditCo guarantees that the Engineered Cell Library will have 70% of pools successfully analyzed by Sanger sequencing and ICE per plate (batch). 70% of successfully analyzed pools will have an indel frequency ≥50% per plate (batch). If an ECL product doesn’t meet the minimum QC criteria and there are no special payment stipulations, the customer will have the option of canceling the order or accepting the Engineered Cell Library at a reduced rate. We do not commit to re-work attempts in the quote terms.
Each tube will contain at least ~20,000 cells with the exception of Common Essential, per the DepMap Database and iPSC and immortalized cells derived from primary cells. If an ECL product doesn’t meet the minimum cell quantity requirement the following discount will be applied: 50% discount of the pool if one or more tubes contains <20,000 cells per tube. Pool free of charge if one of the tubes contains <10,000 cells per tube.
Product needs to be tested within 60 days of delivery.
CRISPR Gene Knockout Kit
EditCo guarantees the Gene Knockout Kit* will give 50% editing efficiency given that the below provisions are true:
- Must be using EditCo’s approved protocols (Nucleofection/Lipofection of RNPs)
- Must be using EditCo’s SpCas9 protein
- Must be using EditCo’s TRAC (human) or Rosa26 (mouse) positive controls
- Must also provide Inference of CRISPR Edits (ICE) or Sanger sequencing data of the gene of interest and proof of at least 50% editing efficiency with EditCo’s TRAC (human) or Rosa26 (mouse) positive controls
If successful editing is not observed for a predesigned guide RNA while TRAC or Rosa26 positive control is successful, please contact our Technical Support Team. A credit or replacement will be approved, upon confirmation with our Technical Support team. Products need to be tested as described above within 60 days of delivery.

Screening Libraries
EditCo guarantees the Screening Libraries* will allow you to successfully analyze ≥ 60% of cell pools which will carry indel frequencies ≥ 50% at genomic loci targeted for editing given that the below provisions are true:
- Must be using EditCo approved protocols (Nucleofection/Lipofection of RNPs)
- Must be using EditCo’s SpCas9 protein
- Must be using EditCo’s TRAC (human) or Rosa26 (mouse) positive controls
- Must be using EditCo’s suggested PCR and Sequencing primers for genotyping
- Must provide Inference of CRISPR Edits (ICE) or Sanger sequencing data of the gene of interest and proof of at least 50% editing efficiency with EditCo’s TRAC (human) or Rosa26 (mouse) positive controls
If successful editing is not observed for a predesigned guide RNA while TRAC or Rosa26 positive control is successful, please contact our Technical Support Team. For failed genes in a library, a credit memo or replacement will be approved, upon confirmation with our Technical Support team. Products need to be tested as described above within 60 days of delivery.

User-Supplied Cells
Acceptance of user-supplied cells is dependent on the cells passing our stringent quality control tests in addition to their ability to thrive under our culture conditions. Customers will be asked to provide relevant culture conditions that will be used internally. If a cell line fails our quality control, we will contact you with the relevant information and allow you to send another batch of cells. If a cell line fails to thrive in our laboratory, we will contact you to confirm culture conditions and if necessary, arrange for a new cell line.
